hello guys i have already posted i am going to be getting a honda cb 750 1979 how do you tell which class id it is k/f/c etc, can you tell by the frame id # or how. Awesome site i will be posting my build log when i start with pics of course, when i learn how.  |

Below is what I copied from the fiche . I can see why anyone would think there was an L in 79 .
" Honda : CB750L A (79) MOTORCYCLE, JPN, VIN# RC01-3000006 TO RC01-3008810 " |

You are right that the bike is officially called a Ltd K but it gets confusing for people when looking for parts etc. so most folks and parts suppliers refer to the Ltd K as an L. The L is a variant of the k and has some differences. Most K's have spoked wheels, the L has comstars. Most K's also have a new style tail light rear fender and cowl. the L has the old style rear fender, and tail light -same style as the 78 sohc. the color scheme is unique of course, and the emblems are unique as well. I cannot remember if there are other differences as well. a lot of things are similar or interchangable between them, as they are for the F.  |
