Hi everyone,

I joined today, with special thanks to Ray in Studio City, CA, who just did the header of my 1980 CB900C today. Thanks for the good info and discussion, Ray !!

Hello too to Gene Sound, who has helped me out through the Yahoo! group for 900/1000 and recommended I join up over here.

Since 1994 I have had two DOHC, both 1980 maroon CB900C models. I was using too much 87 octane gas and got a bad case of carbon deposits, and low compression, so I pulled out the engine & head for the 2nd time. I'm loving it. The more I work on it, the more I enjoy the bike, the comraderie, and that feeling of, yeah, I can do that !!

A question -- I looked at Service Honda .com and did not see anything for CB1100 because I want to get the better cam chain tensioners b/c the ones for cb900c can break. Where can I go to look? Thanks.

Welcome to DOHC Customs Robert.
I rebuilt the "Head" for your 900C, not the header. Wink

I'll come bye when you have the tensioners & guides to slap your engine together for you in a heart beat.
