Hi everyone, I’m new to DOHC motorcycles and this forum so please bear with me. Basically I am converting a 1979 CB750L to a cafe racer, and I switched all of the lights to LED’s. Everything is working great except my oil pressure light won’t turn off after the bike is running. I have enough oil in the bike, I bought a new oil pressure switch, and I cranked the motor over with the switch out of the bike resulting in oil shooting out (confirming I have oil pressure). After looking at my wiring diagram, I see the ground wire to the oil pressure warning light runs into the stop light warning unit. With this being said, do I need a resistor in the wiring somewhere, or can I get a stop light warning unit that’s compatible with LED’s to solve my problem? I switched the original flasher unit to an LED compatible one so the turn signals work perfectly. Any help would be great! Thanks! |
