how do i get more torque?

hello 81 cb750c looking for a little more torque perhaps, i weigh 320, will 900 cams do the trick, just the intake? just the exhaust? thoughts?

900 cams will help a little.

keep your gearing low, so you're doing 5 grand on the highway.

you can get different carbs but they aren't cheap.

you can turn it into a larger motor, 900/1000/1100, but that's not too cheap either.

You should really just get a bigger bike in the first place.

At 320 pounds, you're a little big for a 30-year old 750 that will make somewhere in the 40 lb.-ft. range at best, and even then at fairly high RPM.

None of these 1st generation fours are what you call "torque monsters". Honda has always had a history of making power through high rpm, not through low rpm torque.

320lbs is me with a 110lb passenger

you may want to buy a biger bike

You could get some Keihin CR carbs and 900 cams, upgrade the ignition. It would make quite a difference.

But again, a bigger bike might be preferable.

My Brother in law is 300+ . He rode a 750 until it broke and then bought an 1100 . He's a lot happier , now . Wink
