New from Chicago

Hey I've been poking around the internet trying to find a good forum... and I think I've found it!

I've been in to cars my whole life and I'm turning a new page and starting up with motorcycles and i couldn't be happier.

I have a 82' Honda CB750 C that I am in love with, I've made tons of changes to it already, but now I'm starting to get into the mods. And i've come to see that it is not as easy for motorcycles as it is with cars...why can't there just be a summitracing or jegs for motorcycles?

Anywho; It is to my belief that my coils are going bad on my bike, and why on Earth should I replace them with something stock? So i'm thinking about giong over the Dyna 2000... but being new to bikes, i'm not sure on quality vs. value.

This is a good buy?

I use the Dyna 2000, and it was like night and day. The bike performs so much better, and it's good knowing that your ignition system is up to par. I've not had any problems with it, and installation took me about 1.5 hours.

From my understanding, the Dyna 2000 systems are worth every penny and worth getting if you have the cash. Quite a few people here use and recommend them.

If you're trying to stretch your money further however you could try mounting up the GM coil mod like a few others of us here have (including myself).

I spent about 75 bucks after purchasing the coils, a way to mount them, and the spark plug wires. Probably could have saved even more if I could have found a place in town that actually had bulk spark plug wire, instead I could only find a kit for a V8.

Personally I've never been happier about the added life it gave to my bike, but just having it able to fire up and stay running without having to rev until the engine was warm enough, was priceless in itself.

On the GM coils : I have less than $30 into my coils and wires . And maybe 5 bucks into the coil relay mod . Smile
