Hey guys I am new to this site and new to owning a bike. I heard about this site from some helpful people and they talked highly of this site. I have a 81 CB750k that I am trying to get running right. I have had the bike for a year and seem to be running in circles. |

Do you have any wrenching abilities?
What specifically are you needing to do or having problems with? |

well I had my carbs rebuilt by sean. put them on put new spark plugs in and the bike ran great for a bout 10-15 min. Then the plugs turn black I don't seen to be getting very good spark. I just downloaded the FSM and plan on going through the ignition. I know the coils are good, new plugs and wires. This is happening to all 4 cylinders not just a couple. if you have any ideas I would love to hear them. |

Welcome to the site! Where are you in Bothell? I just moved from Bothell to Marysville and I'll be moving from Marysville to Everett in a few weeks. |

If you go up 228th between Albertsons and QFC, I used to live off 39th up that hill in the bellmont crossing neighborhood. |

If the plugs are turning black It sounds like the carbs are running too rich. |

a quick plug (from TX) for John @ Waldren Kawasaki in Issaquah. John and I worked to get all kinds of demons out of my charging system including the drop-charge test that SeanG suggested a year earlier but I was confused/frustrated/inept at. Well some new parts and a fixed loose ground, and my charging system works perfectly. My buddy had an old kawasaki as well (the widowmaker triple) and they were working on that too. Great to see shops that don't shy away from these wonderful old bikes. I was glad to find someone to take over when my skills were at their end and I was concerened about a safe ride. |
