So yes it hasn't been out of a garage in ten years. needs brakes all around.
Front calipers need to be rebuilt. Starter acts like it's skipping, has 33k miles on it, probably needs new rubber and the exhaust has lots of rust on the underside of it. Where to begin would be a great help. Very Happy
Just glad to have it to play with.

Welcome! The skipping you hear is the starter clutch I bleieve. Mine does it too and thats on my to do list. If it wasnt stored with fuel in the tank, and its all rusty, theres a kit you can buy at bike shops or the Honda dealer called "Kreem" it acid washes the inside and has tank liner that you coat the inside with. The brake calipers arnt too hard to do, just cleanliness is the key when you take them apart. They might need new piston(s), (requires visual inspection) but the dealer sells those also if yours are bad. If you want to/need to get your carbs rebuilt, there is a forum member (SeanG) who rebuilds them and everybody always has great feedback about his carb service. Good luck with getting it going!! Smile

No offense jk, but stay away from Kreem! Too many reports of coating failure. POR-15 is one good option.

Oh, and SeanG has temporarily suspended his carb services since he'll be working across the country for awhile. Still plenty of advice around here though!

+1

My new to me 750c had 2 Kreem treatments within a year according to the previous owner and when I got the bike 2 years later, the coating had failed with 1/3 tank of stabil treated gas.

I used the POR-15 HD kit to strip the old sealant but it didn't take everything off even after adding a string of nuts to the tank to help scrape it up. I did manage to remove most of the Kreem coating and hopefully the residual Kreem won't cause trouble with the POR-15 coating on top of it, but the POR-15 is drying now.

POR strip is pretty nasty. some splashes on the tank removed the paint *instantly* (live and learn)
