Just joined today.
three weeks ago i picked up a 'barn find' 1980 cb750F
the barn was climate controlled and dry
hasn't been on the road for a few years, just had the carbs rebuilt (with the pod filters that were on the bike...i know, i know) and replaced the petcock.
it's running great now.
next projects:
tires
shocks
get rid of those goofy buckhorn bars and put on a superbike bend

What tires have you had good luck with?
where can i find a set of those shocks with the resevoir?
what brake pads have you had the best luck with?
anyone using synthetic oil on a bike of this vintage.

looking forward to talking with you all as this project progresses.

Welcome

Glad to have you on board. Tires are like cars, matter of preferences. Most run the Dunlops or Spitfires.

EBC brake pads, some use the synthetic oil, just have to be carefull NOT to get the ones with the slippery additives. You have a wet clutch and using that kind of oil will start your clutch to slipping.

Oil is a matter of preference also.
