Go Daddy is the worst sevice out there and we are stuck with it.

Hi Support. I have 2 Virtual Dedicated servers each running simple forum =
based boards. Both servers are less than 2 weeks old, one is new built =
Saturday, the one having issues was reprovisioned to Fedora 6 per =
instructions. Here's the problem.

Both sites should perform about the same the site www.cb750c.com =
208.109.29.75 is very slow. where the other www.cb1100f.net =
72.167.14.230 is running pretty good.

This site is still slow and the 11f site is causing quadruple posts. No, this site is not fixed neither is the main site. GoDaddy sucks

I had a page loading from the F site for over 5 minutes... it didn't time out, it just sat there then finally loaded... odd. I'm getting anywhere from around 15 seconds to almost instantaneous page loads here today. Confused

So what is with the page load times varying like they are from almost instant to 5 minute page loads?
This is on both web sites on this server.

Once again this site is extremely slow and CB1100F will not load at all.
I just do not understand why with all the money that is donated to cb1100f.net every month why Glenn does not get a dependable server.
I have donated a little money, all of my time and even some of my parts and tools, and see no progress with it. There has been nothing but serious delays and quadruple posts & double posts for a month now and it is not right.
Ever since Go Daddy was brought into the equation, I have had all the problems one can have with a web site from "This page will not load" to "Sorry, the server is experiencing difficulty right now, try again later" to the page just sitting there for more than five minutes and still not loading.
Then this site is added to an already shitty server and the results are only marginally better and I mean marginal too.

I cannot post this at www.cb1100f.net now because as usual the page will not load.

As far as I know, we are not at this time on the same server as the F site. Other than a couple of slow posts, this site has been running fine for some days now.

Both sites are working fine for me and I am just down the street from Ray. Once again, there is more to data flow than just a server or a hosting site.

There are tens if not hundreds of routers that handle network traffic on any particular message across the country and around the world on public internet traffic. It's possibly a different path every time you try to make a connection, or hit submit, or try to view a topic. Sometimes they get through, sometimes they don't, and take a different route or get bolloxed altogether. It is not uncommon to have several paths timeout as a packet tries to make it's way across country.

Ray, I'm guessing that the routers that serve your ISP with your internet connection at your DSL based ISP have more difficulty resolving messages from our websites than my cable based home connection.

I was in Pittsburgh the other day and public indicators thought I was in Washington DC according to my IP address. Networking is not as simple as a straight line.

Furthermore, GoDaddy might be a bit pigheaded and politically overstep their authority sometimes, but they do serve up a major portion of internet traffic overall. I'm not really sure just what the problem is, but GoDaddy's performance may, or more likely may not, be at the root of it. But if I read their agenda correctly, badmouthing them will definately not improve our chances of improving our plight.

Also, I just tried accessing both sites directly through their respective ip addresses and the response was far quicker. This indicates a general problem with the internet and DNS servers, not just site related problems.

it's also interesting that when accessed directly through the ip addy, that our site renders normally with all the gifs, smilies, and avs intact, but the F site when accessed directly through the ip address craps out all the gifs, smilies, and avs.

Also our sites IP addresses are vastly different, I doubt seriously if they are on the same servers.
