Hey Folks,

Just picked up a well-maintained 900C for next to nothing and will be reading up on here. Thinking of adding some height to the ride (seat/shocks) and possibly going the cafe racer route. It's a fun little big bike.

There's a lot of info here, I already know that. Will be using the Search function a lot. However, if anyone has really solid recommendations for the items below, I'd appreciate them as I'm itching to start wrenching.

- Taller rider seat / cafe racer seat. The current/OEM design with the rider seat being lower than the passenger is not ideal for me. If there is a seat design out there where the rider seat is as tall as the passenger, that'd be excellent.

- Stiffer/taller rear shocks models.

- Rear fender eliminator models.

- Rider footpeg relocation/adjustment kits. Wanting to move them back a couple of inches for a sportier riding position.

- Thick tank/knee pads for better bike/tank control. I heard older Triumphs and Beemers had those, up to a good 3/4" thick.

Thanks folks. I'll figure out how to use the site one of these days. Thought I saved my signature when registering and uploaded a pic of the bike, but nooooo.... Let's see if a resized pic upload works this time...

Anyways, gonna start my research here... Please feel free to share any specific suggestions if you feel so inclined and generous. |
