Hi everyone, loving the forum so far! I purchased (last Friday, in fact) my very first personal bike. Being only 30, I have had experience on other motorcycles: a 600RR, a couple different Harley's, a Goldwing once, however I've never owned. Welp, the stars aligned and I decided now was the time!

My new toy is a 1980 CB900C, and I'm beyond satisfied. I did a ton of reading before purchasing, which gave me the confidence to purchase this bike. I got her for $1,400 out the door, which I feel is very fair for how high quality this machine is.

Last year, before the owner put it away, he had the bike serviced at a local, well known Japanese bike mechanic. The fork seals were redone, the carbs gone through, oil changed, etc, and then it was stored for the winter.

Here's a couple pictures, I didn't want to upload them directly as the 640x480 size requirement would take away some of the luster.

Thank you to all that provide the wealth of information here, it will be exponentially helpful. I'm an auto mechanic by trade, so turning a wrench is no issue, but boy is this a different animal! |
