Nice bike!

How do you like that headlight? I was thinking of picking one up like that.

Is that one the diamond cut, euro style like Autopal has?

$200?

I guess I also live on an island, stuck in the northern atlantic also

I bet those driving lights will kill either your rectifier or stator, too much draw on your electrical system

steal is spelled steal as in stolen . not steel as in metal

You can probably use the driving lights at full speed if you don't use a hi watt H4, and you don't have any other high current draw devices like aftermarket ignition. Liberal LED running light conversion would help too.

Even ay yhay, turning off those extra driving lights is probably a good idea in town and during the day.

Before long there will be some very nice 8100k pure white driving lights that use LED bulbs, maybe only draw 5 watts at 14 volts, and produce about as much light as a 100 watt halogen headlight, but with projection lenses. Those will be perfect for these old electrical systems. You could change all the other running/clearance lights to LED, add a pair of LED driving lights and still be around the same draw as a stock bike. They won't be cheap though. They may already be available, I'll go look.

Seems I read somewhere that looking directly into one of those red LEDs can burn the retina ... I don't know if that's an exageration , but ...

Momma told me not to look into the eyes of the sun ... just to paraphrase an old tune . Smile
