Hello save this old cb900c .....
And my sanity
My 1982 honda cb900c has the same problem ....when the starter is on a table it spins when i put it on the bike it wont spin and the power wire becomes grounded.....i need a solution???

Thank you at least now i have another thing to try all of the basics ive exhausted what would be the best way to test the armature |

Time for a new (to you) starter.
What makes you think the power terminal is grounding? Even on a good starter, the resistance is so low that you probably wouldn't be able to get an accurate reading on a multimeter. |
