Saw an 83 cb 1000 custom that im really into. Looks good and starts nice. Is there anything i should be looking for when i get up there? Looking forward to reading up and researching the site thanks! |

The 83 1000C is an awesome beast of a bike for sure! Just be aware that it was only made for one year. So model specific parts can be difficult to find. I'm not trying to scare you away from it. Just make sure that it's complete when you're looking at it. |

Thanks guys, The bike is really complete, 22,000 miles, only issue is a dent on tank just on the front of it near handlebar.
Is that the only year the engine was a 1000? |

Yeah, 1983 was the only year they were produced which makes parts harder to come by compared to the 900 and 750 as was mentioned. |

the cb1000 looks sweet. really want to get it. but have ran across an xs1100 yamaha and its got me wanting to buy both. i wish i could control myself. I think im selling my harley to buy a crapload of older bikes lol. |

Yea the grab rail is not there and there is a lriblem with speedo. The owner ordered the cable. He says thats the problem. Still no bike yet.
