Good day to you!! I have a beautiful 1982 cb900c with 35k on it, I cannot find anyone who will work on my bike so i guess it's up to me or buy a fatboy like every other swinging _ick has. My requirements for a bike are pretty simple shaft drive, fairing and trunk and tunes, I need to adjust the valves and chain, can anyone help me? Thanks

Hi kellam, welcome here wave

You should read the NMT and fill in your sig with you bike info as it says in there. There is lots of other good info in there too, like where we keep the Honda Shop Manuals and stuff, some tech pointers, and other stuff handy to know about the forum like the picture posting rules.

Once you've read the shop manual, chapter 3 is the maintenance chapter, we can help clarify stuff. The maintenance schedule is towards the back of chapter 1 by the way...

I also suggest getting familiar with the search engine as all this stuff has been discussed ad nauseum, and most of your questions you'll have are very likely already asked and answered and available quicker than you can ask and wait for answers.

There are a few links in my sig, one of them is to some help info for the search engine. You might want to look through those too, that's why they're there...

Enjoy.

I will be 46 March 23rd

Welcome here kellum. The same way you added your name to your signature is the same deal for adding your bike and maybe an appropriate sized picture too. It is all explained in the NMT.

Welcome here, Paul! You will find a wealth of information at your finger tips--all you have to do is search. Read the stickies at the tops of each forum and most of your questions will be answered right there.

And, since we are confessing ages, I am almost 48.

Nah, you're fine. Smile

All we ask is that a guy reads through the common stuff first. A lot of questions get answered that way without even having to ask. But if you're still unclear or confused, feel free to post up.

Welcome kellam. 57 myself. It's a heads up site, with reams of info, overseen by a bunch of DOHC sages. Can't really go wrong here unless you can't read. KR

At 57, I have enough sympathy to change your location to Bismarck from bismack. See....we can be helpful....

(if there really is a 'bismack' ND or it's a treasured pet name, let me know and I'll change it back).
