I just checked in, I'm new to DOHC's but have had Hondas since the 70's. I just bought a cb900c. I always wanted one and liked the idea of the 5 and 2 speed.
I just clicked yes always show my signature.

Welcome to here wave

The real point of the bike in the sig is so we know what specific bike you're likely asking questions about, because so many people tend to forget to tell us when they ask a question. Even though we only deal with the 79-83 DOHCs 750 and up, all the models have differences that can matter in relation to questions.

I'm still working on shrinking the photo. I hadn't clicked yes on the show signature apparently. I understand the intent of educating the new folks, I've been on other sites where the same question is asked and answered daily.
Just so you can get to know me, I did just buy a Honda with pod filters and threw them away already. All back to stock and running nicely.

You can have Photobucket , maybe other hosts , automatically resize any uploaded image .

640 x 480 is site image limit . Wink

You can also DL Irfanview from www.irfanview.com . It's a photo viewer/converter/scanner, etc pgm that's free and quite good. I've been using it for decades now.

Ctrl+R to open resize box... resize by pixels, inches, picas, etc. Easy yet fairly powerful for basic photo manipulation. Has some paint ability as well. Add text, etc.

Welcome to here!

The signature click is in your Profile. There it will make it stick so you don't need to do it with each message.

Appreciate the effort!

Ir fan not supported by android. But have heard good things about it from others on desktops.
Resizing is a pain for me as well as a rule( I'm a computer idiot most times). Photobucket kind of difficult as well, but works. (If you're lucky, or work at it for a bit) Anyone using a good android app on here? Last time I asked smartphones were still "New". Lol

You say that with the conviction that there is such a thing. There probably is, but I don't do the forum on my phone. I by far prefer a larger laptop as a minimum. I might try a pad, but I need laptops for my work anyhow...

Anyhow, so far the site isn't really all that phone friendly. I loathe the improperly autocorrected BS that people post. I won't worry myself to sort them out for most part. Someone wants our time I figure the least they can do is spend their time to ask properly, and work on their posts until they're appropriately readable.

So I'll recommend Irfanview again. It really is one of the best things I found for free in this regard.

I also like Irfanview. For the cost it can't be beat. There is no need for Photobucket with that program.

Another freebie photosizing app is a program called Photorazor . It is really quick supports all kinds of sizes including the small avatar size that this site requires. I just crop and save the photo in either Irfanview or Photoshop and then and then create my Avatar with Photorazor. You can also batch resize with Photorazor if you were to plan on upping numerous photos to Photobucket (640 x 480).

Another option is flickr. You can upload the highest res. photo you like and the and then copy the image link at 640 x 480 (or other sizes you want including the original). I typically do that but I still use PB too. I like the one click thumbnail option.

So many options Smile

I just keep it as simple as possible .

Take the pic .
Upload to Photobucket , let them auto resize .
Drop whichever link into a reply box .
Done .

Tried the photo razor. Not supported on droid phones either. Ah well, tried. Thank you for the suggestion.
Looks like I'll just use photobucket for now. It works. Takes a little, won't resize pics on its own for me, unless size is manually inputed for each pic. Need to reboot a lot as well to clear cache or photobucket gets really confused. If it wasn't for all the helpful advice from you guys on how to post I'd never have sorted it
Big "WELCOME to here" Supercompdad!!!!! Hope you enjoy the cb900 and the shaft drive feel. Smile its uplifting for certain.

Yeah, it needs the bandwidth for the complex screen feeds. The little icons all graphics based, all that little shit is made of little pics. They only get loaded once per session as a rule, but each page has new ones.
