our thanksgiving which is the real date for thanksgiving is on monday, but we as a family celebrate's it today

My humble apologies. When it comes to Thanksgiving you can't celebrate it too much.
And by the way Happy Columbus day and Happy Native Americans day also.
There - I think I have it covered part of the world anyway, although I'm sure there are some I have missed.

our thanksgiving is celebrated in oct, it signifies end of harvest

and the giving of thanks to God for a bountiful season

unless, you're atheist, then it must signify family getting together, unless you're an orphan, then it probably would signify a bit of extra food and shelter

Happy thanksgiving to all my Canuck friends . Just a typical day floating on the turkey leftovers from last night. Enjoying a little NFL this afternoon followed by a NHL game tonight with the sens to complete the day

i used to watch the CFL and the NHL, but i hate the hours of hype that continues right into and through the game

I am also so sick of seeing crying players

I'd rather watch women's hockey, at least femininity is expected

So do ya'll have made up holidays like we do? Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Martin luther King Day. When I used to have to commute to work I would always wonder why there was no traffic on those days as I was going to work, then someone pointed out that 1 out of every 3 people work for some form of government. It was really crazy to see how bare the streets would be.
