Welcome to here, binonewyork wave

Check into the big huge scrolling welcome link on our homepage to learn forum basic rules, what to put in your sig, and to help you enjoy your stay here:

The Welcome Comitee (click here) wrote:
There is a thread you need to read, before you start asking a lot of questions that are already answered in it, that will help you get a little indoctrinated to our forum. The New Member's Thread (or click here) has the forum rules on various matters like permissible picture posting sizes and what bikes we're about and such, some answers to common questions that n00bies always ask about these bikes, links to the Honda Shop Manuals and so forth.

We ask that you read that thread, do the few housekeeping tasks requested there, and also get highly familiar with the Shop Manual for your bike. It helps make everybody's membership here more useful and pleasant, and less redundant for all. It will also help you get a bit more familiar with some of the nuances and culture of membership here.

Be sure to put your DOHC relevant bike model in your sig and turn it on both places (1) in the profile and (2) in the reply box when posting. You'll know more about that after reading the info... Be sure to check it to make sure the sig is actually working, too. (Be sure the "Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)" box is checked when posting your messages.)

You can edit your posts using the edit button in the upper right hand corner of your post and turn on that checkbox or change anything else about your post after you've made the post.

If you have questions about any of this please ask.

Thanks.

BTW, be sure this is checked when posting too, after doing the above:

Not a lot to do to upgrade the existing stuff on the bike short of swapping out the whole front end to something from a more modern bike with better brakes. One other possibility is finding calipers you like better that will fit the rotors, then make different hangers to mount them with the right offset, etc. Of course there's a lot of considerations going that way, floating rotors, size, master cylinder compatibility, etc.

i was told the vf500 calipers work but the op never added year. i really dont have money to buy a front end . since my calipers are bad and cant find the caliper piston unless you buy from dealer and they cost 70.00 each..
anyone know a cheaper fix.

Depending on what you need I probably have some parts.

What's wrong with your calipers that you need to replace the whole thing?

What part of Orlando you located in?

binonewyork , Please read and understand :

Please put the year and model of your bike in the signature section on your profile page and set "Always attach signature " to YES .
NOTE : In order for your signature to show up in posts you also have to check the box that's labeled "Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)" , just below the Quick Reply box at the bottom of threads , when making your next post . This only has to be done once . Thanks

Thanks friend. Be sure to check that it stays checked in the "Post a reply" box area. After several posts it should always stay on by default.
