Sorry, couldn't pass up the Austin Powers quote!!! Hey all, My name is Jon & I'm from SWPA near Pittsburgh. I recently purchased a 1980 CB750F with about 23K miles on it. She's going to need some work, but all in all, it seems like the bike has pretty decent bones.
My plan is to go cafe racer with the bike, but I'm sure that will take some time. I'm far from a mechanic, but I'm not totally clueless when it comes to working on things myself. I have some technical questions that I'll throw into a separate post in the Tech Forum, but I wanted to swing in here to say Hey first.

hey silent h john
we have link you need to read about picture sizes [640x480 max]
we also require a signature, this helps ensure we are who we say we are, plus it glets us know what bike you have in a tech post, instead of constantly asking you
first link in my signature is the thread you need to read
any questions just raise your hand |

Thanks for the response...I thought I changed the image size in PhotoBucket, but apparently it didn't save (sorry the dog ate my homework).
Also, I can see my signature, can't you? I've read that link about a dozen times...If I can't get the 2 main rules right, I'm in trouble!!!
Also, I believe i fixed the picture size. |

Welcome Jon.
You are right Gene, it looks like the tire is larger.
If you have never worked on bikes, you better get this one up to snuff and learn what you are doing before you start hacking or chopping on it. |

Is that front wheel too big, or is it the wrong fender? |
Good spot...I think it might be both.the front tire is larger than it's supposed to be and I think it is the wrong fender too. The guy I bought it from ran it without the fender...I actually like the no fender look, but it doesn't fly here in PA |

No doubt!!! I will definitely crawl before I walk. I doubt I'll do full-on cafe (as in remove everything that doesn't make it go fast), but I like the look. Clubman bars, flat seat, rounded tail section, etc. |

You looked up the wrong definition . That's the definition of a drag racer . |

It actually is plastic, but it's on top of the hoops & not under because it rubs. |
