We have several addresses pointing to this site:
cb750c.com
cb750c.net
cb900c.net
cb900c.com (should work soon)
cb1000c.com
cb1000c.net
Since it's been in use the longest, you might see me reference the cb900c.net address in invitations and such. It's understood in more places. No worries, they all come here.
As for the cb750c.com name, well that's the way it was offered and I thought the 750c folks needed some love finally.
Any comments? |

Well, the solution is easy. Since all of the names are redirects to one specific address, then each of the redirects should be set as a frame type so that however someone came to this place would show as the url in the address bar and they would be unaware of any of the others.
So if you used either cb900.net or cb750.com that would be the address shown. I don't think the forum software should have any issue with the frame redirect. |

Yeah, that sounds like it would work, but still, the name of the forum has always been about 900Cs...
I do not think I'd have necessarilly come here with my hotrod 10 speed though without some sort of assurance on the front door that this was the right place for them. These 10 speed shafties are less like any other bike than most, and my custom Custom has more in common with an 1100F than a 750C, at least in the motor. Even the stock 1000C doesn't really say "look in the 750C" forum to me.
I think a good banner that spells it out would go a long way to removing the least common denominator effect that I get out of it.
Also I can't help but notice that the F site goes by CB1100F.net, not CB750F.net. |

Ooh! Me so happy!
Should have guessed that naming the site after the best of the bunch is too much for some of the owners of oversized and -geared mastodonts...
Why not use something equal for everyone as an url? Like cbc.com etc.? |

I'm with Gene on this. The 900/1000 C Customs are very unique but do link to several other models of motorcycles; the engine and driveline specifically.
Yes, there another site that some of us go to that is specific to this model but this place is much more relaxed, a feet up on the coffee table kind of place.
I, if I may, would prefer that the predominant focus, motorcycle-wise, would be to these models with a hearty comradery with the other Honda bikes that share many of the same features. |

It always was the 900C forum, and if it's not going to be that now, then it's something else as far as I'm concerned. I enjoy BSin with everybody but the focus of the forum has always been the 900Cs. If it's not going to be that, I can see somebody making yet another forum that is, and I'd rather see this one continue the momentum, if there's any left, that it has enjoyed for years.
I don't think anything really needs to be re-invented, it just needs to be continued. |

You guys make excellent points although I think there maybe more 750 bikes and potential members out there then 900's. I'm not looking for an argument I don't care in the least what the URL is, I would vote to keep it 900c depending on how much of a PITA it is to get it switched back |

Oh it was you!

It's true enough though, my hotrod Custom motor is mostly 1100F stuff, except for the better 900 crank, and the rods, cams, valves, pistons, ignition, carbs... OK maybe not. |
