Greetings from a newbie who would like some advice please.
I am going to buy a cb750 with the intention of creating a cafe racer but I really want to use spoked wheels.
Now Comstars have their place and can be made to look good, But does anyone here have any advice to offer concerning this conversion please?
I am open to advice on the year of the bike to purchase, and I am willing to take the job no matter what the cost - you know what its like, once you have an idea its impossible to let go.
Many Thanks everyone. |

Literally any model or year cb750 or slightly larger capacity.
I havent found a bike yet, as I wanted to make sure that I could get spoked wheels to fit it.
Thanks |

If you're looking for a CB750 that comes factory with spoked rims, from my understanding, almost anything that says CB750 on it made before 1979 comes that way. (All of these bikes are single overhead cam) After 1979, Honda went to a dual overhead cam setup on CB750s (and some other models), and with it introduced the ComStar wheels. There are still some 1979-1982 DOHC CB750s with spokes though, namely the CB750K model. The CB750C (unsure about the L model, was there an A model post 1978?) has factory ComStars but you can swap them out. I did with mine. And so did the other fella in here, as you can see with his sig. |
