Plexus is the bomb!
Or is it "da bomb"? Or is it "da shizzle"?
I can't keep up with what the kids are saying these days... |

Don't want to start a debate with the pros, but I have that exact same fairing and it has a metal plate down by the plug stamped "Pacifico"... |

Along with that, I thought all Wixoms were fork mount fairings, rather than frame mount, as this one is.
Maybe Rider can take another look... |

It may be a Pacifico fairing . Wixom and Pacifico are very similar in styling , early on .
The Wixom was used primarily on BMWs and a good share of them were handlebar mount .
Pacifico was big in Yamaha dealerships . |

OD ,
Obviously you were not aware that Wixom also made frame mount fairings . They weren't as prevalent as the bar mounts . ( right click the pic to 'view image info' )

That is correct. It was because of that very photo that I didn't say anything at first, as you say it is a Wixom and it is obviously a frame mount, that would mean that my belief that all Wixoms were bar mounted would be in error.
However, once somebody stood up to differ with that, I was quick to jump on board with my
At any rate, Hondaline and Vetter are the fairings I am most familiar with. I didn't really run with the Yamaha or Beemer set in the 70's and 80's.
And both fairings are different enough from the "norm" to be pretty cool! |

I have tried to find some king of marking or something on the fairing, but have had no luck. I enjoyed the weather today and put close to 85 miles on 'er! Very fun just crusing around, although I was with some friends with "crotch" rockets. Was still nice to get out there and ride with somebody, gets boring by yourself . I believe once I find some turn signal mounts I am going to do away with the "bitchin' fairing" . It's just not my style, and my work is about 3 miles from my house, so even in some type of rain or something I think I'll be fine..Probably won't even take it out in the rain if it is, just drive my old Toyota camry lol. Next weekend she's staying inside and getting a complete detail.
I want to take off the seat, tank, and a few other things and really get it looking nice. I had MANY compliments today about the bike and the condition its in, which really really excited me. The bike is even older than I am!! Hahaha, I love it!!
EDIT: How come my signature will not show up? Read the post about pictures and stuff but still no luck... |

I fooled around with your sig and got it to work. I had to insert a blank line between the pic and the text for the model of the bike. The sig parser is finicky in this software. |

Too bad you don't like the fairing. They do have nice lines. I will take some pics and try to post... |
