I think I'd find out for sure why it's running on 3. Have you done a compression check?

Looks good. My 1982 is also red, but two tone with darker red insets. I think that's an aftermarket exhaust. My front forks also leak on the right and don't hold air very well.

as HickoryDoc stated, I believe the exhaust isn't stock. Beautiful bike though! Smile

Well it's certainly not a stock exhaust, it had a big 4 into 4 system.
