Ive owned my 1982 nighthawk about 3 weeks now and cleaned the carbs yesterday and got her running. Im nursing a broke foot, off work for 4 weeks and 3 to go. i was going to send my 82 virago 920 to my buddies shop to let him work on the wiring when i found this nighthawk on craigslist for $600 about 45 min. away. next morning i owned a running cb750sc woohoo, next morning temp dropped to 23 degrees and my bike wont crank. anyway, it snowed, bike sat on trailer until it warmed up yesterday. Went on a 25 mile ride today, broke foot and all, still needs some tuning, not as smooth as it should be, but with the help of this forum im sure ill work out the little stuff. Thanks guys, i know its gonna be a hoot! Willy 8)

Welcome. The nighthawk is a cool bike. You might try running a can of sea foam through the tank it might help to smooth things out a bit. If that doesn't work then I would remove and clean the carbs. Smile
