Hey,

I don't mean to change the subject, but the start of this thread was by a guy in Canada. Seems like there are a bunch of y'all from up there. How did so many nice CB 900s end up in Canada?

And about faster. Anybody taken theirs to the drag strip? I plan to a couple times this year. What are y'all runnin in the eight and quarter mile? Just a quick question. I'll discuss drag racing in the tech section later.

Doc

Beats me, but you're right, it seems a lot of them ended up in Atlantic (Eastern) Canada.

And no, I'd never take mine to a drag strip. It's an 82! I'd be afraid I'd kill it!

As rare as the cb900c is around here, the cb750c is much more rare. I know of 6-7 cb900c in the area and have only seen one cb750c.

It ain't faster on the strip, but quicker. Elapsed time is what wins. I am curious about times guys are running with 900s.

Shucks, my 1982 Honda and 1982 Harley are my newest motorcycles, not countin minibikes and Chinese dirt bike. I consider both modern bikes. Rugged machines I can ride from dirt trails in the mountains to the drag strip. I crew for a guy who still drag races a 1975 home-built Harley chopper. It'll run in the 12's.

--- To the new dude, and others. Do most of y'all plan to keep your bikes stock, original. That's how most folks around here treat old Hondas, that are in pristine condition. Now a days lots of rough bikes, like my 550, are gettin cut up, hardtails welded on, drag bars, straight pipes, and made into little bobbers.

Sometimes the rarest thing about a 30 year old bike is the fact that it is stock.

True that. I plan on leaving mine the way it is.

I'd fix it up so I could ride it if it was me. Wink
