We're (well actually Glenn is doing the hard work) doing a server upgrade on Saturday. The forums will be down from 9AM eastern time until the upgrade is completed, hopefully by early evening. So, write your important questions and comments on the bathroom wall like usual and post'em up once we're running again.

Thanks!

D-Day

Well, i know I'm sure glad to hear of the change, as well as this announcement of a planned time for it. The 11F site has been much better since the change.

Many thanks to everybody involved. Wink

A server upgrade is mandatory, I just hope Glenn uses a server that will work with us on the West Coast unlike the past three servers he has used.

It took almost no time to do the restore once the server was reprovisioned. A couple hours maybe. Things seem to be moving ok.

I'm on an aircard and this is the best response i've ever seen on the Custom site. pimp

Glenn is my hero and savior because he has given me an outlet for my creativity I did not know existed with these web sites.
Thanks Glenn, you really are my hero because you have the patience of a god putting up with me for all these years.

I'm in Pittsburgh and it's a bit slow here, too, either on wireless or hardwired... The F site is faster.

The F site is down again and was slow all morning in a horrible way just like here.

I've been in and out of the F site for a couple of hours without a problem... might be a router issue on the net.

The F site is back up again but still slow. Slow is not the way to go when I am on the internet. I only go slow on city surface streets and through intersections.

I'm getting about 4 second page loads at the F site from here, I really think it's a network issue, not the F site server. I've been on the net for a couple of hours having coffee, checking in for my flight tomorrow etc...

I get greatly varying page load times to this site though, from a few seconds to almost a minute, same as yesterday. Right now I'm on my aircard, later I'll be on the stadium DSL... I think it's DSL, sometimes we get a T1 or better, depending on their infrastructure.

My phone crapped out yesterday, I have to go to the Verizon store and get a new one... no display. I can dial out, just can't see the display so I can't get to the phonebook. Rolling Eyes

Here's the results of the last day, as you can see, this site is definetly running slower. Bear in mind both servers are brand new, running similiar software, so they should respond about the same.

http://www.cb1100f.net/Other/compare.mht

Also if you want to see the raw server speed between sites use this. Don't abuse it though.

http://www.cb750c.com/speedtest/index-php.html

http://www.cb1100f.net/speedtest/index-php.html

Anyway, I opened a ticket with godaddy support for the speed issue.
