Greetings from the Central Coast / Bay Area.

Hey there y’all! Just thought I’d take the time to introduce myself to the board and give a little about me. The CB reddit page proved to be little to no help and I’ve browsed this website before so I finally decided to sign up. Thanks for having me and thank you to all the knowledgeable folks out there who are constantly taking the time to try and help those in need.

A little background on me. I’m in my early 30s and have recently (a year ago) gotten sucked into vintage Hondas. Mainly through my father in law who has multiple 70s CB750s. He gave my best friend a 1976 cb550 which was was nowhere near road ready but we took on the project which pretty much both mine and his first bike that we’ve ever worked on. After working on his, I wanted one of my own and eventually I found a 1980 cb750F online and picked it up for only 400$. And that’s been where all my free time has gone towards the last couple months. Which in turn has brought me to this form. I’m hoping to restore it as much as I possibly can on my own. But like I said my only previous experience was helping with my friends 550, which he ended up taking to a professional shortly after.

But so far the 750 has been a blast and very rewarding. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here I will post my progress pics and or any other things of interest / concern I may. I have plenty of questions no doubt but I didn’t wanna just sign up on here and start treating this page like a google search engine. I’m down to try my best to help the community here as well and offer my feedback if or when possible. But I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone out there that made a resource like this possible ! I noticed there is also a F website but it doesn’t seem to have as many members or be as active? Is this just the main hub for dohc knowledge?

We are the "sister site" with cb1100f.net. They are quite busy, I hang out there too.
