I recently picked up a 1980 CB900C for my wife to ride. She had seen it on craigslist and really liked it. I know, she's weird
However, I have a bit of work to do before she takes it out. The previous owner was a really cool guy so he went ahead and ditched the stock air box and exhaust for pods and a MAC 4-1. If you have any leads on an airbox, I might be looking for one soon.
Also, the #1 header pipe stays about room temp at idle. The seller gave me the "carbs could use a little cleaning" which probably means they're a total disaster. That'll be my first thing to tackle.
Anyway, all-in-all we're glad to have another Honda in the family (she had a CM400 before) and look foward to getting it straightened out this summer. Along with the new CB, my sons will be helping me restore a pair of CT70s that my cousins and I abused as kids. |
