Hello everyone! I figure it's about time I introduce myself.
I have been gleaning this forum of all of its troves of information and I want to send a big thank you to everyone that makes it possible (posts by genesound, Frank, and holysmokes have been particularly helpful).
Thanks to this site, I have successfully repaired the charging system with parts from Ricks, figured out why it wouldn't start after rain (30 yr old spark plug wires), and tweaked the timing, carbs, and other things here and there. The end result being a solid, reliable motorcycle that's a blast to ride.
Thanks again for setting up and maintaining such a great site, the Internet is definitely a better place because of sites like cb750c.com

Let me throw out the Welcome Matt!
Frank, your wife (Matt's ex-wife) looks exactly like John
Nice words Matt! Thanks for the encouragement.
Bike looks good too!
These bikes will do real well if kept up. I put about 80,000 miles on my 81 CB900C back in the 80s and 90s. And it was seriously hotrodded much of that time too. I used to ride it all over California, Nevada, and even to Utah, several trips a year. Of course I did a lot of work to it in that time, but then I couldn't just let my friend on his V65 Magna keep beating me either. Eventually my bagger 900C passed up his Magna!!! |
