About three years ago I purchased a 1979 Honda CB750L (limited, 10th year anniversary model). I do not recall how, but I became familiar with another Honda forum and aquired some help there in restoring the bike. As a beginner to restoring a Honda I was not even familiar with the terms SOHC and DOHC.
Fortunately for me, my hard drive crashed, lost all my favorite links, and had to search again for some help in resolving a vibration problem. This time I was familiar enough with forums and the term "DOHC" to find this site.
Fantastic! I have received much help, altough I have been just reading and not writing much. Writing on an iPad is difficult when all you can use is one finger. Now I have a bluetooth keyboard!
The 750 is restored and looks fantastic. Took first place in a local bike show in the 1970's spectator's choice category. Will post photos when I find a way to reduce their pixel size.
My thanks to everyone who has taken the time to post information; makes the job of fixing a bike for a non-mechanic like me immensely easier and probably more successful. |

One or two finger typing can obviously be done, but I missed the speed, correction options, ability to move around, etc. A $16 bluetooth keyboard from Amazon has been well worth the expense.
The responses really made me feel welcome.
Thanks, G'day, |
