so my brother took apart his carbs and went away. I have some knowledge of the bike I am just trying to hook up all the right hoses to the right places. I have the carbs in hand a bunch of hoses. He took off the air box and there is K@N air pods on it. I know where most of them go, but some i do not. If someone could post a diagram or help me figure out where the hoses go that would be so helpful. {yes i know about the airbox vs pods debate. yes i did rejet them i just need help with the hoses}

On my '79 CB750F: Four drain hoses connect to the drain/overflow on the bottom of each float bowl. Don't know what to do with the two large crankcase vent hoses that go up each side and join at a Tee that connects to the air box when you don't have an air box. I guess run a hose from the Tee to road draft. Fuel line in to the brass tube between 1 and 2. Vent line from the small plastic Tee between carbs should go to a hose leading up high. If you have the vacuum petcock, throw it away, buy a standard petcock, and plug the vacuum port on #2 for the spawn of Satan valve. There is a pretty good write-up in the carb rebuild manual (Rev G is the latest, I believe).

There is no good reason to toss the AFV if it's working as it should .
